About Monstera 'Albo'
Monstera deliciosa is a species of flowering plant native to the tropical rainforests of southern Mexico down to Colombia. Both the root and leaf have a long history of use in traditional medicine. In Mexico, a leaf or root infusion is taken daily to relieve arthritis. In Martinique, the root is used in remedies for snakebites. 🤒 The holes in Monstera leaves let water drip close to the roots, and they absorb the scattered beams of sunlight that make it down through the forest canopy. Their fruit also tastes like a mix of pineapple and banana! 🍍🍌

How to fertilize Monstera 'Albo'

By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Monstera 'Albo' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Question to Albo and Thai Constellation lovers. Do you mist your plants? Hey all. As it says on the title. Do you mist? How much? How often? When? And why? I live in a dry climate, and against all the advice to not get tropical plants in the middle of the desert, I’m raising a few monsteras including three Albos and two TCs. I use a humidifier, which helps, but does not preserve the variegation as well as my local nursery does. I asked them how they did it, and they mist their plants twice a day. So that’s their answer. What do you all think? What’s your experience with dealing with dry weather? #Monstera #HappyPlants

I want to share my joy! I've been gifted a new plant child to get to know and pamper. I verified care requirements, then set her up in a prime conservatory shelf space with her own coir pole, grow light, and humidifier. Thoughts on additional needs? #monsteraalbo #spoiledalbobaby

I just got my Albo Monstera cutting. I tried perlite once before and ended up with root rot. So with this one I think water is best ,at least until I get some well established roots. If anyone has an advice or tips that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂

YOU. GUYS. I’m going to need to lie down for 3-5 business days after seeing how this STUNNER turned out. 🥵 #MonsteraMonday #MonsteraMob #MonsteraAlbo #NewGrowth

Unfamiliar with LECA I have bag of unglazed ceramic pie weights left over from a craft project. Do you think I could use these as LECA? I think the white would be so pretty with my new Albo. Can a plant be transitioned from soil to Leca? This has nice roots already and will eventually need repotting but I don’t want to take any risks with her. #Monstera #MonsteraMob #leca

How do I fix my Albo? Last September I purchased an Albo Monstera Deliciosa and immediately over-fertilized her based on the growers care advice. She lost all but one leaf and has one that is stuck on the stem. She has looked the exact same for months. Is there any way to prop or save her? Today I used a damp q-tip to pry out the stuck unfurled leaf.
