Ana Ivanovic Shares Throwback to Childhood Tennis Days: ‘Dreams Are Here to Be Fulfilled’

The former professional tennis player made her goals a reality during her 13-year career.

When former professional tennis player Ana Ivanovic won her first Grand Slam championship title at the French Open in 2008 and reached the No. 1 spot in the world, she fulfilled a longtime goal. Just five years into her 13-year professional career, she had already reached the apex of the game.

Now retired, Ivanovic still values the height to which she rose in her former sport. The 36-year-old, who stays involved with the game through brand partnerships and casual play, recently shared an Instagram throwback to her early days in the sport—pre-professional play and certainly pre-Grand Slam title.

The first of two snaps depicted a grainy photo of a young Ivanovic on a clay court in the zone and ready for practice. The second featured a much older version of the tennis star on the court at one of the many US Open tournaments she played during her career.

“Dreams are here to be fulfilled 🎾💪🏼,” she captioned the pair of photos.

“You did it!!👏👏👏🔝🎾⭐️,” one of her followers wrote in the comment section.

“My favorite player in the last 20 years ! ❤️❤️,” another sweetly added.

Ivanovic officially retired from the sport in 2016, but still has a lot of pride in what she was able to achieve in her more than a decade of professional play. And she should be proud. Not many players have a Grand Slam title to their name. Her hard work from a young age certainly payed off.
