Atmosphere: Lion Sot has a very clean and fancy feel on the inside. White table clothes, candles, and a sleek bar are all eye-catching parts of Lion Sot.
Service: We were seated promptly as we had a reservation and the restaurant was just opening for their dinner service. Lion Sot only had a French menu (no English menu), and we were limited in being able to translate all of the items. Despite the servers seeming to know some English, we were largely left on our own to figure out what all the menu items were describing. The owner was able to help answer questions about some dishes, and we had a good laugh about "araignée de boeuf" translating to "beef spider" on Google Translate.
Food: We ordered the seabass (bar entier) and beef (araignée de boeuf en anethade). The fish was good -- flakey, oily in a good way, and well-seasoned. The accompanying orange leek fondue was interesting but too bitter for our liking. The beef was served on top of a cauliflower puree and topped with a dill and coriander sauce. The beef was tender albeit small, and the cauliflower puree was good but just reminded us of mashed potatoes. We also got a wine recommended to us by our waiter, which went well with our meal.
Overall: While the environment and presentation of the food was great at Lion Sot, the experience overall was average. We thought that the upscale menu and interior would reflect the quality of the food, but we were not entirely satisfied with both the menu's offerings and our meal. For its price point, we would look to explore other restaurants in Paris.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gigi P.Birmingham, AL1374Jul 1, 2022
The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great place to experience a French meal for my very American eaters! They responded quickly to an email request for a reservation! Will be back!

After visit to catacombs - was looking for a yummy food place.
This restaurant is genius.
Service is professional and excellent. Host speaks perfect English - and probably many many other languages.
Nice wine menu.
Started with cannelloni stuffed with basil and topped with Parmesan slices of cheese. So yummy.
Main course was beouf with bernaise sauce with tiny potatoes and field greens. Yummy.
Deserts looked amazing - but I had to forgoe - since I was so full.
Manager even let me charge my iPhone at his desk.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kimmi Y.Arlington, VA04610Feb 24, 2020
What a little gem! Went in for a nice quiet dinner on a rainy Sunday night in Paris. The restaurant was very inviting and clean. We got seated in the back of the restaurant where it was super cozy. The owner/waiter was very friendly. Unfortunately I don't speak any French and the menu was all in French. The owner/waiter came over and explained the menu in English for me. Their butternut squash soup was amazing. I also had the whole grilled fish and it's was delicious. Nothing too fancy but the food was simple and delicious.

The food tonight was presented in such a manor that fine cuisine deserves. Not only was it visually appealing but the flavor and portions were beautiful. They rotate the menu based on seasonal availability so you are sure to have a delightful meal each time. The owner speaks English as well as French, Chinese, Cambodian and passable Spanish and Italian. I will return.

We went here to celebrate my son's birthday. My husband and son enjoyed the zucchini soup with mint (cold); I enjoyed the melon with feta and bresaola (with a hint of basil). For dinner, I enjoyed the seasonal salad while my husband enjoyed sausage with a side of green beans and melon and my son enjoyed a croque monsieur (one of the best I ever tasted) with side salad. For dessert my so. enjoyed peach crumble while my husband and 8 shared a delicious hazelnut cookie with mascarpone cream lightly flavored with lavender and accompanied by delicious roasted apricots topped with crushed meringue. Just fresh delicious food and friendly service. Highly recommend.
