Bobby Joe Patterson

Bobby Joe Patterson, aged 80, of Hayesville, NC, passed away February 15, 2023 in Asheville, NC.

Bobby was born on March 9, 1942, in Hayesville, NC, to the late Verlon and Beulah. He was a member of Bethabara Baptist Church. Bobby enjoyed working on small engines and repairing farming equipment. Bobby was a master gardener known for his green thumb, he set records by growing large vegetables and would donate flowers from his garden to the elderly. He had a gift with arranging flowers with ease.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty and Martha; son Toby Brown; and granddaughter Savanah Burch.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years Jeneal Patterson; children, Bobby Burch of Hayesville, NC, Lisa Lail (Jose Leon) of Lincolnton, NC, Apryl Swanson (Shannon) of Hayesville, NC, and Maryanne Basler (Paul) of Kingston, MA; siblings, Katherine Dorsey of Demorest, GA, Rex Patterson of Hayesville, NC; grandchildren, Ariel Thompson (Alan) of Hayesville, NC, Dillon Lail of Lincolnton, NC, Joey Burch of Hayesville, NC, Caleb Burch of Hayesville, NC, Kelanah Allen of Dahlonega, GA; great-grandchildren, Aekley Postell of Hayesville, NC, and Avalyn Thompson of Hayesville, NC; and several special nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at a later date.
