Their audaciously imaginative concept vehicles give us a tantalizing glimpse into what the automotive future may hold.

The Next Generation – Powering an Electric Future

The BMW Vision M NEXT concept may not be powered by warp drive, but with a system output of 600 hp, its technologically advanced hybrid/electric powerplant can still rocket you from 0 to 60 mph in just under three seconds.

The M NEXT concept’s futuristic hybrid/electric engine design demonstrates what may be in store down the road for the Bavarian automaker’s evolving lineup of hybrid and all-electric BMW vehicles like the BMW 330e sedan and 330e xDrive sedans. It features a mid-mounted turbo four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor. Drivers can choose from operating this rear-wheel-drive supercar in either gasoline or all-electric mode.

This hyper-exotic supercar features an illuminated, laser-etched kidney grille, geometric side air intakes, and gullwing doors. Inside, the Vision M NEXT concept’s radical “Boost Pod” interior uses a transparent curved glass display, and Augmented Reality (AR) to create a new dimension of intuitive and interactive driving that blurs the boundaries of how man and machine interact.

The M NEXT concept could possibly foreshadow the debut of a breathtaking new 600-hp BMW i8 M hybrid sports car which could arrive at our Braman BMW luxury auto dealership sometime in 2023.

Black Is the New Black – The VANTABLACK® BMW X6

Imagine a blacker-than-black paint job that absorbs 99% of light, making it among the blackest ever made. Now, apply it to the exterior of an all-new 2021 BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupe® and you have the astonishing VANTABLACK X6 (VBX6) concept. Like a stealthy apparition, this one-of-a-kind shadowy specter defies the senses with its ultra-dark visage created in partnership with Surry NanoSystems and Levitation 29. It is, quite literally, the darkest car in the world.


When viewed in person, the VBX6 appears like a ghostly black silhouette. The striking Iconic Glow kidney grille, Laser Light LED headlights, and a ribbon of red LED taillights stretching across the rear deck offer a dramatic contrast to the vehicle’s otherworldly, ultra-black appearance.

BMW Vision Next 100 Concept

The BMW Group’s Vision Next initiative dares to imagine what the future of mobility will look like a century from now. The astonishing Vision Next 100 Concept is a striking example of how tomorrow’s BMWs may look.

Its revolutionary design incorporates some of BMW’s most daring and ingenious technological advancements. For example, a unique digital Companion merges driver and machine into one entity. It provides the driver with optimum connectivity and information to create the ultimate driving experience. The windshield becomes a large Heads-Up Display (HUD), providing the driver with key directional and safety information projected onto the windshield.


Alive Geometry’s mosaic of more than 800 triangles on the dash generates intuitive movements of color to alert the driver to what lies ahead on the road. In “Boost” mode, the driver is in total control. In “Ease” mode, the vehicle’s Companion takes over, allowing driver and passenger to enjoy the ride. Most remarkably, Alive Geometry literally moves the flexible wheelhouse covers as the wheels turn to maximize aerodynamic efficiency.
