As a "premium" cigarette smoker for 45 years I have ruined my respiratory system, now being very prone to bronchitis, pneumonia, and most other such illnesses. I've tried most of the non-smoking nicotine delivery products, as well as prescription abatement products, and find that the gum is the most similar to smoking as far as controllable to the desired level.
