Update: Rumi, Sir And Blue Ivy Make Cameos In Making The Gift Documentary

Beyoncé's brand new documentary revealing the behind-the-scenes hard work that went into making her latest album The Gift, to accompany the Disney remake of The Lion King, aired in the US on Monday evening.

Any glimpse into the inner workings of Beyoncé's brilliant mind is always welcome, obviously. So, as well as seeing what went into making the tribute-to-Africa album, fans were given an added bonus when they were gifted an insight into Beyoncé as a mother too, with cameos from the singer's, clearly already talented, children.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z's two-year-old twins, Sir and Rumi, make several appearances in the documentary, and are seen walking, talking and laughing. In one particularly adorable snippet shared online, Bey is seen interacting with a giggling Rumi.

Blue Ivy, who at the grand, old age of seven, was listed as a writer on The Gift is also seen signing and recording the song she contributed to: 'Brown Skin Girl' and it's just so precious.

At the moment, there's no word on when the documentary will air in the UK, but our fingers and toes are crossed!

Original Story: A Brand New Beyoncé Documentary Is Coming

Despite the fact that we're all still watching Homecoming on Netflix, months after the behind-the-scenes look at Beyoncé's history-making 2018 Coachella set arrived on the streaming site, we've been blessed with another documentary about the singer.

Over the weekend, the star posted a teaser video of a brand new programme titled Making the Gift, which gives an insight into the creative process of her Lion King album, The Gift, which was released at the same time the film hit cinemas worldwide in July.

In the clip for the upcoming documentary, Beyoncé is seen playing the drums with her and Jay-Z's eldest daughter Blue-Ivy, filming for her ‘Spirit’ Safari-desert style music video and recording the vocals for the Africa-inspired album.

The trailer finishes by announcing the documentary special will air on ABC today (16th September), but, unfortunately, at the moment there's no telling when it will come to UK TV.

The Giftis a 14-track album, executively produced by the singer, which pays homage to Africa and features African producers as well as popular artists like Mr Eazi, Burna Boy and Shatta Wale.

Other impressive collaborators on the album include Blue Ivy on 'Brown Skin Girl', Kendrick Lamar and the star's husband Jay-Z.

Beyoncé starred as Nala in the Disney remake earlier this summer opposite Donald Glover as Simba. The hugely-anticipated CGI movie also featured Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as duo Timone and Pumba.

The brand new documentary comes a day after the critically-acclaimed Homecoming documentary was snubbed at the Creative Arts Emmys, with the two-hour long programme losing out in all six categories it was nominated for, leaving the Beyhive less than impressed.
