The printer of the late 19th Century holy card was Mr. Philip Kemper of Dayton, Ohio. He was the person who discerned that there were 12 Promises made to St. Margaret Mary in her revelations of the Sacred Heart, and to spread a devotion to the Sacred Heart, he printed some of the most beautiful holy cards ever made.

This one had an indulgence with it, 300 Days. Although we prefer St. Theresa’s approach to purgatory (love Jesus and expect to be with Him!), we get a lot of requests for the prayers on the backs of these cards with indulgences. We include a reprint of the back of this one on the description sheet that comes with the print.

** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a blank border all around the image of about .5" for 5x7, 1.3" for 8.5x11, 1.6" for 11x14, and 1.75" for 13x17". All Approx! The white space gives the framed picture a finished look without using a mat.

We use acid-free, fine art paper. Two main kinds, depending on the print. Vintage items like old holy cards or medieval images are printed on natural cotton stock. It has a slightly off-white color, almost creamy, and harmonizes beautifully with certain vintage prints.

If the print is of a museum-type piece, then we will use a bright white fine art paper.

Both have a matte finish which gives our prints a fine-art look.

They are both thick paper, like a cardstock.

They are both archival, and combined with our archival pigments, will not have significant fading for many generations, upwards of 200 years, if kept dry and out of the direct sun.
