Set of six still life paintings of fruit and vegetables: cherries, strawberries, pomegranates, lemons, green peppers, and yellow turnips. All follow the same compositional scheme: a blue and white ceramic bowl, heaped with a single variety of fruit or vegetables, sometimes with leaves attached, centered on a brown table against a green background with a subtle wallpaper pattern on it. Some also incorporate butterflies or flowers. These colorful, highly decorative works are painted in an 18th Century English or Dutch country style with a smooth, glossy surface.  Each is  mounted in a black frame with hand-painted gold floral decoration in the 18th-century English taste.

Condition:  Fine overall with only minor wear.
