Sleeping dragon

  • Explain what is happening in this scene.
  • Where do you think this is?
  • How did the gold get here?
  • Why is the dragon asleep? How do you know it’s asleep? How long will it stay asleep for?
  • Who is the person in the black cloak?
  • Why are they playing a violin? What happens if they stop?
  • Is there anyone else here?
  • Draw the rest of the scene – what else is in this place?
  • Draw a storyboard – what happens before and after this picture?
  • Use this image as a prompt for a short story. What other characters and setting will you include? What is going to happen? Will you use any other stories as a model? What will you keep the same and what will you change?

    Dreams.Magical,they waltz in the air,
I see visions of thy future but no the past.
I must see the dreams of you.
But not the nightmares.they shall not seek at last.

I still wonder if I will wake or stay asleep for the eternal quake.
