Teyana Taylor Wore Rick Owens To CultureCon NY 2023
On Saturday (October 7), The Creative Collective NYC kicked off its 6th annual CultureCon event in Brooklyn, New York, where hundreds of aspiring creatives, entrepreneurs, and small business owners gathered to celebrate Black culture and the leaders who’ve pushed the boundaries in the media industry.
Teyana Taylor, who was part of the panel, used the opportunity to discuss her journey as she’s worked through different mediums – singer, dancer, choreographer, and creative director – to fuel her creative spark.
While Teyana’s abs are often the topic of much internet discussion (mostly, people begging for her workout routine), as she’s never been shy to show them off, the singer opted to highlight another part of her body on this occasion…her whole right side via this Rick Owens Fall 2023 asymmetric, v-neck dress.
You’ll either feel that Teyana exposes skin strategically to zhuzh up a look, or that she oozes sensuality in a way that feels in tune with her style.
I’m sitting firmly in the latter, despite my first thought being that this dress would’ve been better served as a red carpet look than for a discussion panel, but Teyana has never been a compromise, play by the rules kinda girl.
What I like most about this look is the jewelry, which prevents this look from feeling too bare.
