  • The 1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Dover Sedan by Brewster & Co. featured here is finished in stunning Dark Green with Masons Black fenders. This particular Phantom II chassis was assembled in 1931 at the Rolls-Royce works in Derby for a Mrs. E.R.F. Johnson of Moorestown, New Jersey. The stunning coach work was entrusted to Brewster & Co. in New York who dressed the Rolls-Royce chassis with body no. 7327; a four door Dover Sedan with a roll up partiton window and integrated rear trunk. In 1982 the Phantom II was acquired a respected Rolls-Royce and Bentley collector based in Pennsylvania who performed a full mechanical and sympathetic cosmetic restoration. During his 36 years of ownership, the Rolls-Royce was meticulously maintained and saw only occasional use at a vintage tour or Rolls-Royce Owner’s Club event. This example was recently awarded a 1st place award during a RROC National Event in 2010 (a testament to its condition and rarity). It presents wonderfully today and displays only minor amounts of wear from occasional use. This charming pre-war motorcar is accompanied by over 30 years of receipts and invoices, its owner’s manual and copies of the build documents which verify that this Phantom II is still powered by its numbers matching engine. We are proud to offer this stunning Rolls-Royce to the most particular investor, collector or enthusiast who appreciates the driving experience that can only come from a hand built, pre-war Rolls-Royce. Ready to make an investment that you can actually enjoy? Classic cars have proven to be among the most resilient and rewarding investments in recent years with the Historic Automobile Group Index (HAGI) jumping 39% in 2013, 16% in 2014 and 17% in 2015 while posting gains of 467% over the last 10 years. Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for more information. They will be happy to give you a complete walk-around, supply you with a more detailed description and answer any questions you may have. Buy with confidence.

HISTORY OF THE ROLLS-ROYCE PHANTOM II
The Rolls-Royce Phantom II was introduced as the successor to the Phantom I in 1929 and was one of the last Rolls-Royce motorcars developed under the tenure of Sir Henry Royce. The 7.7 litre inline-6 cylinder engine from the Phantom I was further refined with a cross flow cylinder head and the chassis featured semi-elliptical leaf springs in the rear which allowed the Rolls-Royce engineers to lower the stance of the car, thus improving handling at higher speeds. The Phantom II chassis continued to use the servo assisted brakes from the Phantom I in addition to the central chassis lubrication system that was standard on the Springfield assembled Phantom I. These improvements helped to make the Phantom II one of the best driving motorcars of the era and the Phantom II is still considered by many to be the pinnacle pre-war Rolls-Royce. Only an approximate 1,402 Phantom II chassis were built until 1936, and only 125 were delivered to the United States with left-hand drive arrangement. While many American Rolls-Royce clients opted for coachwork that was finished in England, some discerning clients chose to enlist an American coachbuilder to finish their Phantom II in a way that suited their individual needs.

    Financing

Finance rates as low as 8.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
