The Journey of Indian Art: from Traditional to the Modern Era

Art, as described, is a reflection on the society. A window taking you back to the history, a road that takes you to the future and a moment that makes you re-think the present. Throughout history, Indian art has played a major role in the depiction of social, economic and political issues. A large number of talented artists have emerged in the Indian subcontinent through these years with marvelous and ground-breaking artistic styles. Mughal paintings, Mysore paintings, Tanjore paintings are just some of the many that led to the popularity of Indian art forms gained in the global arena. Numerous architectures have now become famous tourist destinations. India has always been popular for art and its distinguished designs.
