Winter 2024 is shaping up to be the season of can't-miss period dramas—including the just-released The New Look, which follows French fashion designers during and after the Nazi occupation of Paris during World War II.

Starring Ben Mendelsohn as Christian Dior and Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel, the show interweaves Dior and Chanel's divergent wartime and post-wartime experience. The cast also includes Maisie Williams as Catherine Dior, Christian's sister; John Malkovich as Lucien Lelong, a French designer; Emily Mortimer as Elsa Lombardi, a friend of Chanel's based on Vera Bate Lombardi; Claes Bang as Hans Günther von Dincklage (a.k.a. Spatz), and Glenn Close as Harper's Bazaar editor Carmel Snow.
