At some point during the early days of the pandemic, I got hooked on eye masks—trust me, the quality of your sleep will improve overnight! And what could be better than the gift of a good night’s sleep? Canvas tote bags are fine, but nothing makes you stand out at the grocery store than a chic knitted bag. I love that these ones by Lastframe are so light and easy to travel with too. I mean even Santa must get tired of schlepping around difficult-to-carry gifts, no?

I love gifts that have a sense of humor, and just looking at these watermelon bowls makes me smile. There’s a Harry Styles joke in there somewhere! I think after all those months of wearing sweatpants, the best fashion gift to get or receive, is undoubtedly a pretty dress—eyeing this one from Batsheva! I love jeans a ton, but it takes a lot for me to deviate from my vintage Levi’s. This pair by Bianca Saunders comes with the kind of wow factor that would be fun to unpack. There’s nothing more smile-inducing than a great party shoe and with their lucite heels, these silver Bottega heels are about as fun as it gets. Personally, I think Paco’s metallic bags work for any time of day—I basically wore a silver variation on this style all summer, even to the beach!

And for the woman who seemingly has it all, Charlotte Chesnais’s elegant pearl earring is hard to disappoint.

This holiday season, I’m looking to upgrade my winter wardrobe with elevated staples that can take me from day to night. Altuzarra’s tie-dye printed crepe dress is perfect for a day at the office, but with a quick addition of Attico’s sleek tuxedo blazer, I’m in business for a night of cocktails and soirees. I’ve been focused on investing only in handbags that I know will last and have been keeping a close eye on Tanner Krolle’s emerald Annabel 18 box bag. Not only is it inspired by the original style worn by Princess Diana, it’s effortlessly chic for all occasions. Many who are close to me know I have a soft spot for monogrammed pieces. Mateo’s initial diamond ring is an heirloom in the making, I hope to make it mine this year!

The perfect gift is something that the recipient would adore, but would never buy for themselves. Your responsibility as Santa is to put your disposable income towards something you know your loved one would never shell out for on their own budget. This could be something as simple as a bag of really good pick-and-mix Swedish candy, or as decadent as opera-length Jil Sander cream leather gloves. They’re semi-practical (everyone needs gloves, right?) while also being totally glamorous. Give them to the person in your life who fancies themselves a modern Audrey Hepburn... or a Taurus like myself. And also, here is proof that even the most quotidian objects can be gorgeous—a coffee pot that looks like it belongs in a gallery. Wouldn’t it brighten up your morning to look at those clean lines?

Venus of Willendorf, a sculpture, created around 25,000 years ago is a relic of femininity that I come back to over and over again as a source of inspiration and object that communicates the beauty and resilience of women that predates the modern beauty standards by which we are so oppressed. I have my eye on these bookends or Vase by Anissa Kermiche that reminds me of Venus herself (hint hint to any secret Santas out there)! I love classic American codes of dress—or, I love flipping them on their head. Nothing says classic Americana like a Polo and the colorways and materials subvert so much of what we expect from a Henley. I’d pair this more casual top with a cocktail skirt and these over-the-top door knocker earrings for a holiday party.

I love a sybaritic gift, and what could be more decadent than Tom Ford’s leopard silk robe? And Charvet slippers? Very Noel Coward at home. Probably the last thing I need in my life is another cushion as you can’t get to any of my sofas—they are so heaped with them. But I couldn’t resist Walid’s upcycled versions. And Marni’s lilac stripe sweater is more me than me, don’t you think?
