They have a HORRIBLE reputation. Even worse than their enduro, if that were even possible.
250 Ninjas are available here but they’re very far from “super fun cheap.” They’re around NT$250k new and you’ll be lucky to get a used one for less than NT$150k. For reference, you can get a decent used Hornet 250 for that (MUCH more bang for your buck), a decent CBR400, maybe even a 650.
They don’t have the 50cc strokers, which might indeed be fun. All they have is the boring underpowered 150 4-stroke. None of the fun of a motorbike, none of the carrying capacity of a scooter. The worst of both worlds, in other words.
Sachs not available here. No new 2-strokes allowed, either. They’re not even allowing carburretted engines anymore – all must be electronic injection. As for a CPI scooter following, maybe it has one in Hawaii but it sure doesn’t here. I think I’ve seen maybe two, tops, for the reasons already stated.
Can’t remember the cutoff date. Several years ago. Yes, there are a still a few 250 strokers but you’d really have to search hard and they’re all probably illegal. 600s are pretty small. Easily maneuverable through traffic.
I used to race 400cc strokers and I have a friend here who recently restored an old Kwak 500 triple stroker – the widowmaker, they called them when I was a lad.
[quote]The sheer agility of the chassis, coupled with lung-collapsing thrust from 4,000rpm to the 10,500rpm redline, makes four-stroke ‘stuporbikes’ look silly. For the first time ever, road and race motorcylists can have a bike that is both light AND fast.
And the best news is that it is developed, tested and built by a 500cc Grand Prix Engineer. Yet the RS500GP is more affordable than you might imagine - that’s because we at TSS are phenomenally passionate about advancing the cause of the two-stroke road and race bike.
We have made it our business to sucessfully produce a viable alternative to the four-stroke sportsbike status quo, so our customers can enjoy the sharp crack of high-density power that only a two-stroke engine can provide.

I have a love affair for light two strokes. I had a standup scooter with a 55cc engine doing 70kmh. It weighed 21kg.
The noise itself would just… turn me on. But 500cc of it… i wouldn’t dare to try
Anyone still looking? I have a black 2006 GTR 150, currently with some problems (engine issues and cosmetic issues), but it still looks great. If you’ve got a good mechanic, or are a gear-head, could be a good fit for you. I’m selling it (with papers) cheap as I want a more practical scooter. I would be interested in a trade as well.
