Where to find a cpi gtr?

I saw one in shihlin so i know there here

back in hawaii the cpi gtr is really popular

its much safer then a scooter because it positions your body in the more stable riding position same as a motorcycle

but its still a scooter it comes in 50cc 2 stroke and 150cc 4 stroke models

in hawaii there about 1500-2000usd used or 2700usd brand new

anyone know a cpi scooter shop? price of one in Taiwan?

also are the newer 2009 and up kawasaki ninja 250cc bikes sold in Taiwan? they are also super fun cheap and easy to maintain

incase your wondering what one is

theres a yellow one i see often in shihlin

quite rare… and for a reason.

Budget around 40k.

thanks for the info 40k is reasonable i think
thats about same price maybe slightly cheaper then second hand in usa

i prefer bigger wheels tires and a motorcycle riding position much safer in my mind

i was thinking they were like 100% taxed and 100k or more

you know in thailand everythings 100% tax so even if tax is high in taiwan im happy its not as bad as thailand

They have a HORRIBLE reputation. Even worse than their enduro, if that were even possible.
250 Ninjas are available here but they’re very far from “super fun cheap.” They’re around NT$250k new and you’ll be lucky to get a used one for less than NT$150k. For reference, you can get a decent used Hornet 250 for that (MUCH more bang for your buck), a decent CBR400, maybe even a 650.

really? horrible reputation? and in hawaii they are almost number 1 choice out of all scooters strange…

i did notice most in taiwan for sale are the 150cc model dont know much about that one

but 98% of the ones in hawaii were 50cc 2 strokes and many upgraded to 70cc with bore kits

because in hawaii you dont need a motorcycle license with 50cc bikes so ofcoarse that was the popular model

ive known people to ride the 50cc 2 stroke models alot problem free and parts were no problem to find as it uses the

same engine as most 50cc 2 stroke scooters

They don’t have the 50cc strokers, which might indeed be fun. All they have is the boring underpowered 150 4-stroke. None of the fun of a motorbike, none of the carrying capacity of a scooter. The worst of both worlds, in other words.

they must be doing something right theres a following

from what i gathered a stock 50cc 2 stroke will go head to head and beat a stock 150cc 4 stroke model

also ive heard that the 150cc and 50cc have the same motor mounts in same position leaving open

the possibility to buy a 150cc model in taiwan and swap in a 50cc 2 stroke engine then mod it to 70cc or even 125 cc for real fun

but are 2 strokes legal or common in taiwan? in other words if you had a 2 stroke would you be the only one?

and lastly if all is not possible i hear the 150cc model can be modded to liquid cooled 180cc to be fast and fun

also how about the sachs madass

with fuel tank built into frame 125cc can be modded looks fast

modded one is ready to do wheelies see vid here

youtube.com/watch?v=DaGlAWbXl08

the 125cc sachs madass looks like the best option if availible in taiwan

120kph with 172cc mod

wheelies all day with 172cc mod

see vid here

Sachs not available here. No new 2-strokes allowed, either. They’re not even allowing carburretted engines anymore – all must be electronic injection. As for a CPI scooter following, maybe it has one in Hawaii but it sure doesn’t here. I think I’ve seen maybe two, tops, for the reasons already stated.

what was the cut off year for 2 strokes?

any big 2 stroke bikes out there like 250cc

i want sumthin small and fun i think 600cc and 1000cc are to wide to go between traffic and expensive

not interested in the 400cc bikes either how bout the nsr 250?

Can’t remember the cutoff date. Several years ago. Yes, there are a still a few 250 strokers but you’d really have to search hard and they’re all probably illegal. 600s are pretty small. Easily maneuverable through traffic.
I used to race 400cc strokers and I have a friend here who recently restored an old Kwak 500 triple stroker – the widowmaker, they called them when I was a lad.

250cc 2 stroke street bikes get me excited makes me remember the cr250 motocross bike i had

im sure theres none or a small number of these out there …

aprilla 500cc 2 stroke

RS500GP weighs no more than 115kg wet,
and can produce 130HP, and 65lb.ft of torque - a figure
that easily eclipses Supersport 600s.

Never riden or cant even imagine a 500cc 2 stroke street bike but man id love to ride one

[quote]The sheer agility of the chassis, coupled with lung-collapsing thrust from 4,000rpm to the 10,500rpm redline, makes four-stroke ‘stuporbikes’ look silly. For the first time ever, road and race motorcylists can have a bike that is both light AND fast.

And the best news is that it is developed, tested and built by a 500cc Grand Prix Engineer. Yet the RS500GP is more affordable than you might imagine - that’s because we at TSS are phenomenally passionate about advancing the cause of the two-stroke road and race bike.

We have made it our business to sucessfully produce a viable alternative to the four-stroke sportsbike status quo, so our customers can enjoy the sharp crack of high-density power that only a two-stroke engine can provide.

There there is a RS250, i know as i had one.
Fucking thing never worked (electrical problems).

Sexiest bike ever though.

I have a love affair for light two strokes. I had a standup scooter with a 55cc engine doing 70kmh. It weighed 21kg.
The noise itself would just… turn me on. But 500cc of it… i wouldn’t dare to try

although illegal i have an idea that might be fun for race track use only

i knew a guy who swapped in a kawasaki kx500 2 stroke motocross bike engine into a 250 ninja

believe it or not the 500cc 2 stroke engine was smaller and lighter then the ninjas 250cc engine

i think a aprilla 500cc bike is already rare hard to find and maybe to hard to import

i would settle for an rs250 hard to imagine a 2 stroke bike having so much electrical problems

usually the bigger 4 strokes is what have all the electrical computers and gadgets

drift accelerating exit of corners where common with the 500cc aprilla and what it was famous for

theres some pretty amazing footage of it on you tube

They are, I believe, Italian.

Anyone still looking? I have a black 2006 GTR 150, currently with some problems (engine issues and cosmetic issues), but it still looks great. If you’ve got a good mechanic, or are a gear-head, could be a good fit for you. I’m selling it (with papers) cheap as I want a more practical scooter. I would be interested in a trade as well.
